In this video, I walk through my AI-assisted workflow for creating a song using Audacity and Suno.
This is my first time using Audacity in this process, and it is also my first video in this format, so you are seeing the workflow as I learn and refine it in real time.
I do not go deep into Suno here, especially its Studio features, because that deserves its own video. What I do cover is where I use it, how I use it, and why.
I also make a clear distinction between AI-generated, AI-assisted, and AI-augmented music. Those are not the same thing, and treating them as if they are only muddies the discussion.
A lot of criticism of AI music comes from weak prompts, generic styles, and low-effort outputs. That is not a serious test of the tools or the people using them well.
Real musicians and producers still make real creative decisions. AI can be part of the process, but it does not replace judgment, taste, editing, arrangement, or production. I cover more of this in other articles.
Also, fair warning: there are a few audio inconsistencies in this video. I was using an onboard condenser mic, and that alone is a good reason to upgrade before the next one.
